Tree Time Tales (Work In Progress)

Here is my line art for a current project, being that of the Tree Time Tales project. The project involves us picking an old story/tale/fable that can be relevant in today’s world.

I have chosen to illustrate Aesop’s fable about the Peacock & The Crane, basically with the moral of “Fine feathers don’t make a fine bird”. Which can be relevant as such to humans with the likes of nice clothes, possessions etc don’t make a nice person.

Gone for a traditional Chinese look & landscape for the piece, featuring the crane & peacock. Will be very colourful and bold looking eventually 🙂

Here are two pieces of work of mine;

The first being part of a current project involving poems. I have chosen as one of six of them to Illustrate a poem about an elephant in a rhubarb tree.

The second piece of work is then that of a mash-up between Looney Tunes & Marvel Comics that I did during a personal project in the first year of the course.

The mash-up being that of Bugs Bunny & Captain America…
